Grant grew up on a farm in north central North Dakota. He graduated from Glenburn High School in 2009, received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre at Minot State University in 2013, and received his Master of Business Administration from Northcentral University with a specialization in Financial Management in 2016.

He has always loved the art of voice acting and was raised on many forms of entertainment that utilized the art form. He draws inspiration from the performances of Mel Blanc, Robin Williams, Jim Cummings, Jim Henson, Frank Welker, and many more classic and contemporary performers.

He currently lives in Minot, ND with his wife Jenna, dogs Toby and Loki, and cats JoJo and Harvard. They welcomed their son Ira Wesley into the world on August 3rd of 2023.
